Spolek PELICAN is a non-profit association active in the field of education and culture. It is based on the belief that one way to improve the quality of education is to raise public awareness of current trends in education and support their implementation in all levels of educational organizations. Our mission is to serve the needs of students and the educational community by supporting, collaborating and partnering with local, regional and state non-profit organizations and providing quality products, programs, and professional services.
Association PELICAN seeks to build a network of other NGO’s engaged in similar activities in the Czech Republic and abroad. It uses its premises to hold community-based cultural events and to provide classrooms and meeting place to other non-profit organizations. It actively pursues participation in EU projects of an educational, cultural, social, and entrepreneurial nature.
PELICAN employees have already cooperated with other NGOs on various projects in the field of integration of immigrants and refugees, intercultural understanding, multilingual education, and youth.
Association PELICAN also works closely with Language school PELICAN, s.r.o (language courses and exams, Czech for foreigners) and Škola PELICAN (retraining, teacher training, communication skills, and ICT courses) and can bring these organizations into projects as associate partners.
